“I grew up in Houston, Texas going to punk shows at local clubs from 14 on - my favorite band ever is X, although I love everything from early ’80s punk to old country (Patsy, Hank Sr., DAC, Willie, Waylon, Johnny, etc.) to showtunes to rap.
“I’m in the all-girl classic car club Hell’s Belles and I like vintage rides, although my poor punkass usually can’t afford one - I’m lucky to have an old Ford Truck right now.”I’ve been in Barracuda magazine (#19, cover & centerfold) in Lowrider magazine, and Japan’s Burnout magazine and CK DeLuxe. I’ve had some inconsistent success as an actress - recently on ER as a “sexy female drummer” opposite what is, by NBC standards, the new “punk” doctor (Shane West - who was actually a very cool guy and is psyched to play Darby Crash in the soon-to-be-made biopic about The Germs) and I was an ass-kicking bitch on the first season of The OC.
“When I’m not on set or getting people drunk at work, I hang out with my boyfriend (who plays fast-as-hell drums in his punk band) and my dog and I act like hermits watching crap TV and listening to old Pixies tapes.”
This site was designed for those of us who have an aesthetic appreciation of women who don’t conform to mainstream society’s ideal of beauty. A “Hotpunkgirl” is someone who flips up her middle finger at such standards and dares her own style in spite of what the popular fashion magazines tell her is “in.” If you’re hung up on compartmentalizing and your strict definition of “punk” doesn’t seem to match ours, you might want to check out The Captain’s Helm for a little explanation. Please enjoy!
