Psyche
Sunday, April 10th, 2005I’m a 22-year-old queer pixie living in Portland, and my current occupation is Caffeine Goddess (aka barista, which has nothing to do with revolutionary, south-of-the-border freedom fighting, no matter what anyone tells you) at Coffee People. I’m a Virgo with a huge and meaningful — sometimes not understood — connection to the planet Mercury. I have a perpetually manic kitten named Medusa who is really a snake at heart. My passions include tea, cooking (I make the best tiramisu you will ever taste or dream about), cuddling, kissing, and touching for never-ending time spans, genetics (I am hoping to eventually find a cure for Huntington’s Chorea), and aromatherapy. When it comes to things (and people) that smell good, I get ravenous. Oh! You must go to Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab to find the best hand-blended oils (Sniff Heaven).
I am in love with life and love, and my cherished community of friends, lots of which are found on That Bird’s Nest. Bird, the photographer extraordinaire, is my bright and shining pink love-star.
I am addicted to the beauty that is body modification and have lots and lots o’ tattoos — the eyeball on my inner arm is the most meaningful, representing my third eye and my spiritual nature. I have 29 piercings, 7 of which are in my sparkly nether regions, and I recently got a corset piercing done (which was excruciatingly arousing, to say the least).
My name is Jasminepearls on Livejournal. Stop by and say hello!
This site was designed for those of us who have an aesthetic appreciation of women who don’t conform to mainstream society’s ideal of beauty. A “Hotpunkgirl” is someone who flips up her middle finger at such standards and dares her own style in spite of what the popular fashion magazines tell her is “in.” If you’re hung up on compartmentalizing and your strict definition of “punk” doesn’t seem to match ours, you might want to check out The Captain’s Helm for a little explanation. Please enjoy!
