Mia Hush

What’s the solution to staying warm in Canada? By having hot, punk girls like Mia Hush around to melt the snow and tender hearts, alike! This Jill-of-all-trades (and mistress of more) keeps her secrets buried in an unmarked grave at a deserted crossroads just outside Saskatoon, but she tattletales a thing or two when vodka martinis enter the picture.

That is, until she drinks us under the table and she’s got us spilling our guts (in more ways than one) into the wee hours. By morning, we’ve awakened with nary a bus token to get us home, and Mia’s long gone with our wallets and our stories. What fickle youth has pried from us when guessing games net us nothing! Ah, nothing but a glimpse and a glimmer… at least we have the pictures by which to remember her. Have you seen this young lady?

You might spy her on ManicJane (one of our personal favorite sites here at Hotpunkgirl World Headquarters). You might catch a peek of her at MPI Studios (another old friend). You may see her hitchhiking to Lebanon on the side of an obscure Roman thoroughfare with the hint of a dagger’s pommel poking from her pocket. You may hear tales of her in a now-destitute bootlegger casino where no table was left unturned by her exploits. You may just miss the boat that’s left, allegedly carrying her to another haven of mischief that’ll be a den of tears by the time you arrive, once again too late. Don’t even begin the detective work necessary to catch up to this beguiling devil, punk. You don’t have what it takes!

Just enjoy and move along. And smile when you do it, stranger!

More hot, punk girls!

This site was designed for those of us who have an aesthetic appreciation of women who don’t conform to mainstream society’s ideal of beauty. A “Hotpunkgirl” is someone who flips up her middle finger at such standards and dares her own style in spite of what the popular fashion magazines tell her is “in.” If you’re hung up on compartmentalizing and your strict definition of “punk” doesn’t seem to match ours, you might want to check out The Captain’s Helm for a little explanation. Please enjoy!
