Queen Bee
Are you hip to the hive? Queen Bee wants to ensure that you are! Having already satiated Detroit's collective libido with her beautiful harem of seductive drones, the wickedly decadent Queen Bee aims to shortly colonize all of North America and then, weather permitting, the planet Earth!
"It's for your own good, darlings, so please don't try to resist," assures Queen Bee in a soothing susurrus, "elections are no good, and you have proven as much. You need a leader who can unite the masses. You need a leader who will eradicate injustice, keep the peace, and let the sweet honey flow freely. For fuck's sake, you need a leader who can rock out! You need a Queen Bee!"
Detroit, of course, will continue to buzz as Hive Central -- the perfect capital city -- as her colonization efforts expand to cover the globe and, eventually, the Solar system.
"That is, when I find the time between being a frontwoman, fashion designer, show host, make-up artist, fetish model, hip-hop dancer, burlesque performer, digital artist, webmaster and advice columnist!" says Queen Bee through a disarmingly sweet smile.
Queen Bee has fronted a band of the same name for quite some time, now, ever since the first incarnation put out a single on Alternative Tentacles back in 1999. Although her story as a bass-shredding, Hell-raising diva of the underground goes way, way back to a vast number of other bands (including His Name is Alive, Inside Out, and Thrall), the Queen Bee has found her true calling and refuses to be daunted by the occasional change in lineup.
She knows, after all, that you catch more flies (or, for that matter, bees) with honey than with vinegar...
You are hereby summoned for a royal audience with the Queen Bee herself at her current world hivequarters. Benefit from a monarch's sage advice over at her Talkin' Trash column in the fine webzine Candy For Bad Children. Vote for her as Belle of the Halloween Ball at Rocketgirls.net. Join Queen Bee's Yahoo! group. Obey! Obey! Swarm! Swarm!
Do it because you like it and it's good for you. We promise.
