bluegirl
The bluegirl is a bi-coastal photographer with a vision wider than the contents of our North American continent can contain, but maintaining palatial estates in New York City and Los Angeles gives her plenty of foundation from which to spring. She spends her weekends jetting around to all the best parties (usually given in her honor) and reminiscing about her "starving artist" days with fellow luminaries in the global arts community.
bluegirl says, "I remember this one time -- I think it must've been around '62 or '63 -- when Andy [Warhol] and I were dumpster diving behind the Munson Diner at 11th Avenue and 49th Street. I found half a pan of perfectly good cheese lasagna and he was able to cart away an entire little red wagon full of unopened soup cans. Some of them were rusty and dented, and I warned him to watch out because I knew a few people who almost died from botulism as the result of eating from similarly damaged canned goods. He just smiled and winked from behind those now-famous bulletproof spectacles."
She's worked with several other Hotpunkgirls of the Week from the past, obviously present, and future. With her neverendingly busy schedule, we here at Hotpunkgirl.com World Headquarters are both surprised and honored that the bluegirl deigns to appear here at all!
"I have a spare fifteen minutes before I've got to catch a flight bound for Borneo to shoot an album cover for Duran Duran," says bluegirl, "plenty of time, plenty of time! My helicopter will whisk me away from the roof of The Gershwin and my bags are already packed! Care for some hot chocolate?"
We sit in the lobby of The Gershwin while her tuxedo-wearing, dog-collared butler (who looks suspiciously like Steve Perry from Journey) pours us each a generous helping of a delicious, dark fluid that does taste quite a bit like hot chocolate. And whiskey. And some more whiskey. It is nine o'clock in the morning.
Cheers!
As our blood warms on this unseasonably chilly morning, The bluegirl fills our remaining time with more sordid tales of debauchery to which she's been privy. We won't reprint them here because they're too saucy even for this site, but you can go visit the online home of bluegirl Productions, join her Yahoo! group, and keep an eye on her antics from the comfort of your desktop if you dare.
And we do dare you.
It's a bluegirl world, after all!
