Suzanna Leigh
If you've been to any of the shows in Northern California from San Jose up to Sacramento, chances are that you've seen this girl. Perhaps you've even met her once or twice…see, Suzanna Leigh seems to have a habit of attracting these 'musician types' and causing some to go to great lengths to get her attention! But she's taken and is now involved with Johnny from The Forgotten -- But don't call this girl a groupie! Once given the opportunity to tour Europe and attend the '98 VMAs, Suzanna turned it down.
She says, "That's not the sort of lifestyle that I wanted to get too attached to. That whole 'rockstar lifestyle' is pretty unreal, so I didn't want to get wrapped up in it. Sure, if I took advantage of the situation, I could have met some well-known people and have a few more stories to tell, but that's not what I was going for. When I'm with someone, it's not because of what he does or who he knows. It's more about being real. So, when someone calls me a groupie, they don't know me."
Jeff Howe, former tour manager for Alanis Morisette and Bad Religion said to Suzanne, "If someone meets you backstage, within 5 minutes of talking to you they'd find out that you're not a groupie. They might find out that you know more about music than they do!"
Suzanna admits to approaching Limp Bizkit guitarist Wes Borland, "But only so that my little sister could meet him, since she was the fan," she says. Other than that, you can probably credit her musical acquaintances to her style and outgoing personality. With a look that combines punk, glam, rockabilly and film noir, Suzanna stands out in a crowd. With musical interests like punk, oi!, psychobilly and ska, who in his right mind wouldn't want to chat her up?
