Born in a dirt clod cottage to a pair of blues-singing sharecroppers just six months before the first moon landing, Alexandra Paris and her soon-to-arrive three siblings learned to value love as a commodity more precious than money -- and a powerful fuel that kept this family going during the Great Washington Potato Famine of 1974. While many neighbors abandoned generations-old ancestral plots to try for better luck overseas, the Paris family persevered through the tragedy and made enough to trek through the mountains to Oregon in a covered wagon on their own terms. This hard-won battle against the odds instilled young Alexandra with a sense that, with enough determination (and the willingness to eat the dead ones that didn't make it when trapped in a frozen mountain pass for the winter), anything was possible.

With dreams of becoming an entertainer, Alexandra knew that, like anything else, hard work would be her key to happiness. Feeling out-of-place in the family's newfound Oregonian homestead, she found sanctuary in the performing arts. She felt more at home on stage with the echoes of applause ringing in her ears than being mired in the day-to-day bullshit of high school life, further proving that a life in entertainment was her true calling.

Still, it took a few more years of odd pursuits, like going through nursing school, flipping burgers, yogurt designing, crocodile hunting, hypnotism, psychic crimefighting, and coal mining before this fact would sink in.

Alexandra recognizes that her life experiences, though difficult, have worked to build character and helped to strengthen the person she's become. She's done three indie films, so far: Murder in Portland, Queen of Hearts, and Mimosa. She does part-time modeling and produces her own cable show, Galactic Groove. She's been featured on various websites (including her own, which can be reached by clicking on any of her above photos or here): One Model Place, Modelz R Us, Model Expose, Indie Club, Hollywood North, Model Spring, Gothic Ecstasy, Xtreme Beauty, and Models of Desire. Don't be shy! Say hello and congratulate her on proving that dreams really can come true, you jaded punk bastard!
